Mary and Me

A Girl and A Boy making songs that grow and grow every time you listen. They create a glowy and intense atmosphere live and on record. Their debute "Songs for Johnny" is now in the stores. Already one of the best "homegrown" records in 2010, so check it!

Since 1996, Dirk Swartenbroekx (Belgium) is making funky records under the name of Buscemi, one of his favorite actors. His style is deep. Difficult to categorise: nu bossa, nu lounge, house music, brazilian grooves, afrobeat, drum 'n bass... Dancemusic with a latin feel is maybe the best description of the sound of Buscemi.

At Westanglia he will spin the decks at the Highlight of Westanglia, really in the middle of the existence of the Free State. Prepare for the heat this fantastic dj will bring to the floor!

Madam Lena Deluxe from Lille is a rising star in the French music scene. She makes a weird kind of edgy pop music/folk with echoes of the Velvet Underground, Coco Rosie, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Shannon Wright,.... Trust us, you have to check this it out.

The kind people of Messines Peace Village are helping us out! You can camp for free on their site or you can stay in the hostel. If you want to book a room, don't wait to long, because the capacity is limited. You can find the contacts through the link above.

The Peace Village will also have another central place in the Free State, but more about that later...
